This gentle rongoā Māori contains natural and native ingredients that have been gathered, prepared, brewed and blessed by a skilled tohunga according to tradition, kaupapa and tikanga. Completely natural and utilised for a variety of healing purposes, this recipe is passed down from many generations as a go-to in Ancient Māori times. Kawakawa contains the essential oil myristicin, a substance known for its skin-soothing and pain-numbing qualities.
